Sensors and Responsive Systems is a workshop focused on how technology detects and reacts to the environment.
Participants work with ultrasonic distance sensors, PIR motion sensors, touch sensors, and servo motors to create systems that respond to real-world input. Through experimentation, children build setups where movement, proximity, or touch triggers an action.
The workshop introduces the logic behind sensing and automation, helping children understand how interactive systems work.
What children explore:
• Motion, distance, and touch sensing
• Sensor integration into circuits
• Responsive outputs using motors and LEDs
• Basics of automation and interaction
About the expert:
Sai Krishna is a multidisciplinary innovator and educator who translates complex technologies into hands-on creative learning experiences. He has led workshops at NID Assam and Atria University, and contributed to interactive projects such as a brain-controlled rain installation at Serendipity Arts Festival. At Yaksha, he developed interactive systems including the Animal Keeper poacher game and a motion-based globe installation.
