SONIC STORYTELLING LAB WITH YASH JHA AND PRASHANT NAWANI

In the Sonic Storytelling Lab, sound was treated not as background, but as narrative.

Participants explored how rhythm, voice, and silence can shape meaning. They recorded spoken word, composed music, and experimented with layering sound to create atmosphere and emotion.

Guided by Yash Nath Jha and Prashant Nawani, students worked across instruments, voice, and digital tools — building soundscapes that carried story. Riddles, fragments of dialogue, ambient textures, and musical elements were woven together to create immersive audio experiences.

The focus was not on performance alone, but on listening — understanding how sound influences perception, how it directs attention, and how it builds continuity across spaces.

In the larger Yaksha experience, sound became a connective layer — linking installations, guiding movement, and shaping how the world was experienced.
